Abstract:This study takes English majors as subjects. By means of literature and induction, the paper analyzes the impact of affective factors on English majors’ listening comprehension from four aspects: motivation, anxiety, confidence and willpower. This paper also proposes several countermeasures for the above-mentioned aspects to help English majors enhance their understanding of their own affective factors and actively carry out self-regulation. The aim is to help them improve their listening comprehension and their listening level. Key words: English majors; listening comprehension; affective factors; countermeasures
