Abstract
Sense and Sensibility is one of Jane Austen’s famous novels. In the novel, Elinor and Marianne are sisters whose characteristics are different from each other. When they are faced with choice of sense and sensibility, they make different decisions and gain different emotional experiences. The paper mainly discusses feminism in Sense and Sensibility by reading the novel in details and associating it with the social background and the author’s experiences. It analyzes feminism consciousness of the heroines through dissecting emotional experiences of Elinor and Marianne.
