Abstract: The C-E translation of foodstuff instruction plays a big role for Chinese food in its entering foreign markets. However, there are many problems in foodstuff instruction translation, such as grammatical error, Chinglish and unattractiveness to English readers. From the perspective of skopostherie, this paper puts forward some strategies and methods of foodstuff instruction translation. The strategies are taking the foreign readers as a priority, choosing right amount of information and making regulations on foodstuff instruction.
