Abstract: William Black is a famous poet at the end of the eighteenth century in Britain, and he also is the most important representatives of the former British romantic literature. His poems contain great power and is full of revolutionary. As many of his poems described: Blake adheres to safeguard the interests of the people and strongly support the revolution, he against the war and the tyranny. The poetry’ s language is concise and the style is simple, which has a very rich imagination. His revolutionary of enthusiasm, yearning for freedom, the love for a better life and hate of the dark society which is fully shows in his work. “The Song of Experience” is one of the most important poem in his work, and the “London” is one of the most famous short poetry in this poem. In addition, from the Black’ s other poems, such as:“Tiger”, “The Chimney Sweeper”. We can not only read the poet profound literary thought, but also we can read the poet’ s deep sympathy for the working people, the yearning for freedom, the strongly desire for freedom, democracy, and the peace of the world. Blake’ s poetry covers a very wide range and contains lots of subjects. Poets often in a variety of style to show us the features of the British and the poet’ s inner world.
