This unit comes from the book which is published by People’s Education Press. It takes the family as the topic and the family introduction as the task to learn the use of sentence patterns like “This is my sister,” “Those are my parents,” and “Who is he?” Students are asked to be able to use the sentence patterns to introduce others’ ability to communicate with others and introduce their family situation to others. This unit is close to students’ life, which can stimulate their learning interests. Therefore, students can have enough chances to present themselves. The focus of this unit is introducing family members and identify people. The difficulty is focused on remembering family members’ titles.
