教材内容分析

This unit is the fourth unit in the first volume of Grade Seven. It mainly talks about the usage of prepositions and how to ask and answer questions about the location of objects. In section A, some new words are taught to students. This part also presents the usage of prepositions, so that students can talk about the location of objects fluently. In addition, Section A contains many listening and speaking activities. These activities can improve students’ listening and speaking abilities. Section B introduces more words and phrases. Listening and speaking activities, reading activities and collaborative activities are all centered on the location of objects in the room. Students can further talk about the things in their own room, reflect on different living habits of different people. The reading material in this unit is about two different rooms. The post-reading activities enable students to grasp the special information in the article. These activities also pave the way for the writing later. As the knowledge points in this unit are relatively easy, it is suitable to use a variety of activities to stimulate the interest of students, so that students can bring the practice of English from the classroom to life, and improve their interest in English learning.
