教材内容分析 The teaching content is from Unit 2 Exploring English, volume of Senior 1, Grade 1 of the textbook Go for It by People’s Education Press. The theme of the unit is “The human and ego”, which involves learning and exploring English. This unit begins with the introduction of the history of English. By showing the diversity and creativity of English language, it will deepen students' understanding of English and stimulate students' interest in learning English so as to develop students' comprehensive abilities in reading, oral expression and grammar. This unit is divided into five parts. In the first part, it introduces the history of English showing by charts. Students are supposed to have a general view about English and can extract information from the charts. In the second part, it is the reading part which shows the creativity and diversity of English. It gives some examples of the different usage of English. Through this part, students will improve their reading and speaking skills and know more about English expressions. The third part is about word formation. Through this part, students can use the word formation to help them memorize words and improve the efficiency of memorizing words. The fourth part is the listening part, which is about unfamiliar English expressions. Through this part, students will improve their listening and speaking skills. The fifth part is the writing part. It mainly introduces the misadventures in English. Students will experience the differences between cultures and cultivate the awareness of cross culture. The Unit 2 not only imparts knowledge, but also broadens students' horizons. It will lead students to reach a cross-cultural understanding of language learning.
