教材内容分析 This unit is the twelfth unit in the first volume of Grade 9. This unit mainly focuses on talking about environmental protection and living a green life, and let students use words, phrases and sentence structures to express suggestions in writing. In Unit 1, students are supposed to learn the new words and phrases about environmental protection and discuss what they should do to reduce pollution problems in daily life. This part presents a conversation about making a green school. Through listening and reading the conversation, students can understand the meaning of green school, and improve their listening ability. Unit 2 introduces more words, phrases and sentence structures from three aspects—“reduce”, “reuse” and “recycle” to detail how to live a green life. Reading and speaking activities are all centered on it. Students can also learn to use different ways to give suggestions about living a green life through the study of the reading passage of this unit. The post-reading activities enable students to think about more suggestions, which can not only deepen the understanding of green life, but also prepare for the writing later. Unit 3 provides all kinds of exercises for students to consolidate the learning of this module. The topic “Save our world” is close to students’ life, and can easily arouse students’ interest in learning and make them willing to participate in relevant activities.
