教材内容分析 This book of Renai Project English series is composed of four units, 12 topics. The content of this book is about meeting, acquaintance, growing up, study and living of four protagonists: Kangkang from China, Michael, Jane from Canada and Maria from Cuba, which is close to students’ life. The four units are linked with each other, aiming at improving the comprehensive ability of students. Topic two is the second part of Unit 2. In Topic one, students have learned how to talk about one’s body with some adjectives. Topic two further discusses the appearance of people and introduces how to identify colors and describe the clothing of people, which guides students to pay attention to the details of people in daily life and learn how to get along well with others. Topic two is divided into four sections. In section A, students will learn from the conversation in 1a some words and expressions to further describe one’s appearance. Such as we have black hair and black eyes, look the same and we don’t look the same. Then, in the rest part of this section various exercises are designed to help students master and use the newly learned words and expressions. Section B introduces the topic sentence what does she look like with another conversation, following which different types of exercises are designed to help students learn to ask and answer with this sentence. Section C focuses on training students’ reading ability. It is composed of a conversation, a short passage and sufficient exercises. In this section, students will learn more words and expressions about people’s appearance and dressing. Section D is the last part of the whole topic, so its main function is to help students recall and review the important language and grammatical points in Topic 2 with a short passage and various exercises.
