Abstract: With the rapid development of film industry and the improvement of the degree of market, the film title translation changes quickly and constantly adapts to the development of the new situation to face the great challenges. This article embarks from the example and respectively discusses the different understandings of film title translation standards, different applications of translation strategies and the causes of the formation of differences. It is aimed at researching the different characteristics of film title translation under the influence of cross-culture and pointing out that people should properly understand its historic culture, language habits and religious beliefs when they master translation theory through the study of the comparison and analysis of the mainland, HK and Taiwan film titles. It not only emphasizes the commercial value of film titles, but also advocates to remain its cultural and aesthetic value, thus which is better to translate film titles and to promote developments and fusions of three communities.
