Abstract: This study is aimed to discuss the application of schema theory to English listening teaching in junior high school.The author applies the method—construct schema and use schema to verify whether sun dongmei’s conclusion that the application of schema theory to college English listening teaching is very effective is right.In order to know results about the traditional listening class and the experimental class,the author makes two tests to collect and analyze the data.The first test will be given to students before the experimental class to collect their scores .The test will be given after the experimental class .And then we will use spss19.0 to analyze the data accurately. The conclusion is that the application of schema theory effectively improve the students’ English listening,which is the same as sun dongmei’s conclusion.
