中文摘要：服装是一个国家，一种文化的象征，是人类理想意识和精神文化的体现。中西方服装经历了长期的演变和发展,形成了各自相对独立的体系。中西文化具有不同的审美视角，决定了中西服饰文化不同的发展轨迹。中西文化与审美的差异具有多样性。这些差异不仅表现在服装形制，服装色彩、装饰细节和材质上,更多的表现在营造的整体意境的不同。作为人类情感的物化媒介，服饰的生命在于其背后所蕴含的不同民族的历史、民俗与文化。东西方民族由于历史文化传统的不同，服饰文化也产生了差异性。

本文通过对中西方服饰的审美文化的探讨，引申出中西服饰审美意识存在差异，从而论证美感的民族差异性。拟从历史时间角度，社会文化背景角度，以及中西社会发展水平等多方面，研究中西服饰审美的差异性及借鉴性。为服饰发展演变提供部分考量性建议。
