摘要：  随着当代教育的发展，阅读材料的种类和内容也随之变化。如今，英语专业学生在日常学习和测试中遇到主流英文报刊文章是很普遍的。但许多英语专业学生在阅读英文报刊时却不能通读全文，也不能全面理解文章含义。另外，英语专业学生在阅读一些英文报刊上略有难度的文章时也缺乏一定的实用技巧，缺乏阅读技巧导致了学习低效和考试成绩不理想。相比这一领域的其他研究来说，当前对英语专业学生英文报刊阅读现状的调查和研究比较欠缺。在开展这项调查研究前，本文选用山东青年政治学院英语专业学生作为调查样本。在调查研究的过程中，本文采用文献综述法和问卷调查法来调查研究英语专业学生英文报阅读现状。本文以调查问卷的形式展示了英语专业学生阅读英文报刊的种类、频率、目的、兴趣和策略的相关调查数据。通过研究和分析调查问卷所取得的数据结果，许多不足随之显现。本文中调查问卷所发现的不足对英语专业学生英文报刊阅读具有重要意义。为应对这些不足，本文给出了关于改善英语专业学生英文报刊阅读现状的可行性建议。
