Abstract: This study focuses on the application of situational language teaching in lead-in part of English classes in junior school and aims to discuss the advantages of this method and promote it to actual language teaching. The result shows that situational language teaching has several disadvantages, yet it can arouse students’ interest and develop their abilities to solve problems. There still exists lots of aspects of problems in this paper which need to be solved. Key words: situational language teaching; leading-in; study interest; English classes in Junior school
