Abstract: Based on the language transfer theory and previous research results, this paper starts with the English syntax, researching mother tongue negative transfer of English syntax on junior high school students. Using literature research method, questionnaire survey method, and experimental research methods, the study researched status and problems of English syntactic acquisition on junior high school students, and analyzed causes and influence of mother tongue negative transfer of English syntax learning on junior middle school students. It aims to explore the way to reduce mother language negative transfer to minimum, and look for ways to more effective teaching method on junior middle school students.
