中文摘要：20世纪中期以来，多媒体技术得到了飞速的发展并深刻地影响着人们的日常生活。教育的发展也在与时渐进，进而促进课堂教学内容、教学方法、教学模式等多种因素的适应性转化。然而在教育信息化的背景下,我国初中英语课堂教学也存在着诸多问题。本文从教育信息化内涵的界定入手，阐述了教育信息化发展阶段及其特征，同时对初中英语教学所存在的问题进行了较为全面的分析。信息化建设有力推动了学校的教育教学工作，但也存在着师生教学互动不足、学校技术支撑能力不强、教师应用水平不高等问题，本文从提高师资水平、推进英语学科与信息技术整合以及有效进行探索活动设计等几个方面提出了相应的解决措施，以期完善教学，从而推动初中英语教育信息化建设进程。
