教材内容分析 The teaching material is from People's Education Press English book for grade seven. “Unit 3 Is this your pencil?" can be divided into two parts:section A and section B . Section A principally talks about how to claim the ownership and learn some school things around us. Section B mainly talks about the Lost and Found notices and how to find out the lost things around us using the Lost and Found notices.“Unit 3 Is this your pencil?" follows the National English Curriculum and involves listening, speaking, reading and writing. In addition, many activities can be performed about this unit. Last, the topic is close to students' life so students are familiar with the topic. As this topic is closely related to their personal life, students are supposed to be more familiar with this teaching content and would be more interested in the lesson. These factors would be conducive to a lively class in which students provide timely and effective responses. At the same time, since they should use the correct structures to claim the ownership, a proper understanding and use of the grammar points should be explained and trained such as the singular forms and the plural forms,subject-verb concord and possessive pronouns. After learning this unit, students will master the theme words about the school things around them and phrases and target language to claim the ownership in real situations.

Students are able to understand the possessive pronouns "mine /yours/ his/ hers" and master their usages. 3. Students are able to master the structures "Is this/that…? Are these/those …?" and can use the structures to claim the ownership in authentic situations. 4. Students are able to master some grammar rules such as the plural forms of "this, that", the abbreviated forms of some words: it's, isn't, aren't. 5. Students are able to understand the contents of "Lost and Found "notices.
Ability objectives: 1. Students are able to master some listening and reading skills: key words, key sentences; extensive listening, reading and intensive listening, reading. 2. Students are able to apply sentences like "Is this/that…? Are these/those…?" to claim the ownership in authentic situations. 3. Students are able to improve their writing techniques based on the structures they have observed and generalized.
