教材内容分析

This unit is the sixth unit of the seventh grade Go for it. This unit focuses on food and learns how to use the verb “like” to ask about food preferences and to talk about food that people like to eat. Students are supposed to learn and master the use of the simple present tense of action verbs and the transformation forms of positive and negative sentences. On the basis of the previous unit, students will be more impressed by the topic they are interested in. This part also presents some food nouns, so that students can understand the concepts of countable nouns and uncountable nouns, and further summarize the rules of the formation and use of plural nouns. In this unit, through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities, students can further explore different eating habits and lifestyles, thus stimulating students' interest in learning and developing a correct and healthy eating habit. Students can use new words, phrases and sentence patterns flexibly to prepare for writing on the basis of studying and reading articles. Through this unit's study, not only the students can exercise but also they can enhance the  overall ability.

Knowledge objectives:

1.Students learn how to ask each other about food they like and dislike.

2.Students can learn and master more food-related vocabulary and expand their vocabulary.

3.Understand and learn about healthy eating habits and lifestyle.

Ability objectives:

1. Students will be able to express exactly what they like and dislike about the food.

2. Cultivate and improve students' responsibility and team cooperation ability.

3. Through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities students can improve    their overall development ability.   

4. Students' oral expression ability can be improved.

Emotion objectives:

1.Through the group activities, students learn to actively cooperate with others, cultivate the spirit of cooperation among students.

2.Students can learn about a healthy diet and lifestyle for a better life. Through  task-based activities, students can learn to eat a balanced diet in real life.

Cultural awareness:

1. Students can learn about Chinese and Western eating habits and culture.

2. By studying western diet culture, students can get a preliminary understanding of the differences between Chinese and western Diet, and cultivate the understanding of cross-cultural communication.
