摘要：阅读在一定程度上可以提升学生的学习能力，开阔视野。因此，英语阅读教学无疑在英语教学中占据重要地位。这就意味着小学英语教师更应该花大力气研究如何在小学英语课堂中有效地进行阅读教学。本论文提出可以从选用原汁原味的阅读材料，针对阅读前、中、后三阶段设计丰富的阅读活动及在阅读教学中注重培养学生五种阅读策略这三个方面尝试在小学英语课堂中有效地进行阅读教学。总而言之，在小学英语教学中，阅读教学应当引起教师和学生更多的重视。

Abstract:Reading can improve students’ learning ability and broaden their horizons, that’s why English reading teaching undoubtedly plays an important role in English teaching. It means that primary English teachers should make efforts to do the research on how to teach English reading effectively in the primary classroom. From the three aspects the thesis explores how to teach English reading effectively in the primary classroom, namely using authentic reading materials, developing varied lessons from reading tasks in pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading and finally helping students cultivate five specific reading strategies to English reading teaching. In a word, both teachers and students should pay more attention to English reading in the primary school.
