摘要:词汇是语言赖以存在的基础,词汇教学是整个英语教学系统中的重要部分。同时,随着社会的发展,人们对英语的需求量也直线上升。随着社会的发展和科技的进步,英语词汇的总量不断跟新和扩大,这对英语学习者词汇学习效果构成了挑战。小学阶段是英语入门和打好根基的关键时期,因此对于小学教师来说,科学有效的英语词汇教学变得极其重要。然而我们不可否认当前中国的小学英语词汇教学普遍存在着教学方法单一、效果不显著等问题,这严重影响了学生的英语学习效果。而多模态理论强调运用视觉、听觉甚至触觉等多种感官,通过语言、声音、图像、动作等多种模态符号进行信息交流。可见,多模态理论指导下的英语词汇教学有助于解决目前小学英语词汇教学中存在的问题,提高英语词汇教学效果。 

因此,本文作者首先阐述了多模态理论,并对当前小学英语词汇教学的现状进行了问卷调查,分析了教学中存在的问题及原因,并在此基础上,以多模态理论为依据,提出了有效的小学英语词汇教学策略,包括充分使用多媒体设备,善于运用多模态互动教学,运用多模态方法培养学生的学习兴趣,以期提高小学英语词汇教学效果。
