摘要:在这个游戏业蓬勃发展的时代,独立游戏已经俨然发展成为一种新兴文化。其中,英文独立游戏作为先驱者则占了其中很大的比重。尽管这种文化的传播与其他文化的传播有所不同——其传播主要依靠网络与程序,但它们的共同点都是广泛地使用模糊语言。模糊语言学研究者通常认为,“模糊”有本体的模糊与思维的模糊。据此,本论文拟从语用功能上将英文独立游戏中模糊语言的运用分成两类:一是在给独立游戏分类、评价时相关语言所表现出的模糊性,主要是由英文独立游戏本体的模糊导致的;二是给游戏中物体命名时有些语言所表现出的模糊性,主要是由于命名者思维的模糊引起的。本文除了对英文独立游戏中模糊语言的使用情况展开分门别类的分析,还尝试引入模糊控制中的“去模糊化”方法对独立游戏中的模糊语言进行评估分析,意在解决从几种意思相近的模糊语中选择其一的问题,为本地化游戏语言翻译者或者是独立游戏开发者确定游戏名称时提供参考。 关键词:英文独立游戏;模糊语;分类;评估
ABSTRACT An Analysis on the Fuzzy Language Used in English Indie Games In the times of flourishing game industry, indie games have made themselves a novel culture. In the culture, English indie games as a pioneer, take up a large part. Although this culture is different from other cultures in transmission – it relies mostly on the Internet and programs, they have one thing in common: the wide use of fuzzy language. Fuzzy linguists agree on the two kinds of fuzziness, namely ontological fuzziness and epistemological fuzziness. According to this idea and pragmatics, this thesis divides the fuzzy language in English indie games into two parts: the fuzzy language used to classiy and judge English indie game, which is caused by the fuzziness of the game; and the fuzzy language used to name entities, which is caused by the fuzziness of human’s thoughts. In addition, a method of defuzzification from Fuzzy Control will be introduced to evaluate the fuzzy language in English indie games in order to solve dilemmas in choosing one from several fuzzy synonyms. The method can also provide a viable way for developers and translators of English indie games. Key words: English indie games; fuzzy language; classification; evaluation |
