此次翻译实践选取了杰姆斯·麦克唐纳德·奥克斯利的著作《车轮上一家人》的 1-4 章。奥克斯利的主要作品是儿童文学小说，以浅显易懂的语言营造

一个个生动的故事情节，让儿童置身此中并喜欢上阅读。小说第 1-4 章节分别是家庭介绍、一个真正的好朋友、公开的塔姆比一家、一次募集纪实。本书是一本儿童小说，内容简单易懂，符合儿童的知识接受能力，小说的第一到第四章节对整本小说的情节发展起到了铺垫作用，交代了小说主要人物以及他们之间的关系。第 1-4 章节描绘了一幅人与一只狗、一头大象和谐相处的画面，他们热爱生活，勇敢向前，为了生存不畏一切困难，终于实现了他们简单的梦想，情节一步步深入，尤为吸引读者，为下文情节的发展起到了推波助澜的关键作用。小论文包括四部分内容，第一部分是整体介绍，包括作者、小说背景以及作者写作风格的介绍；第二部分介绍小说主要内容；第三部分介绍在翻译过程中遇到的困难以及是如何解决的；最后一部分是对此次翻译实践的经验总结。

INTRODUCTION

The translation practice selected chapters 1-4 of the book "Family on Wheels" by James MacDonald Oxley. Oxley's main works are children's literary novels, creating vivid story lines in a simple and easy language to allow children to place themselves  in and enjoy reading. The story plots of the first four chapters are INTRODUCING THE FAMILY, A GOOD FRIEND IN NEED, THE TAMBY FAMILY IN   PUBLIC

and A RECORD COLLECTION. This is an easy novel for children, so the content is relatively simple, children can understand the content easily.

The first four chapters of the novel play a role in paving the way for the development of the entire novel, explaining the main characters of the novel and their relationships. Sections 1-4 depict a picture of a person living in harmony with a dog and an elephant. They love life and bravely move forward. In order to survive without fear of all difficulties, they have conquered many difficulties till their dreams finally come true. The plot is deeply in-depth, especially attractive. The readers played a key role in the development of the following plots.

The first part of the essay mainly introduces the writer, background of the novel and the writing style of writer. The second part introduces the main idea of the whole novel. The third part includes the difficulties we met during translation process and  the solutions we take. The last part is an experience summary of this translation practice.
