The Scarlet Nightingale is a thrilling story of love, danger and sacrifice written  by best selling novelist Alan. Titchmarsh.

In this translation practice, chapters 15 to 17 are excerpted. It describes Thierry, Eric and Rosamond's preparations for a secret mission to France. Chapter 15 told that after saying goodbye to the family members, Thierry, Eric and Rosamond prepared to leave their hometown for a mission to France. Chapter 16 told that once the three men arriving at France as planned, they were taken away by their allies in Frances. After settling down, the three men discussed the deployment of the mission together. Chapter 17 told that allies arrived at Fesh-Lesatel for final deployment. In a foreign land, facing a group of strangers, Rosamond was frightened. After going through a series of ideological struggles, she was resolutely ready to fight.

The thesis is divided into four parts.The first part is the main content of the translated text, including title, introduction of the author, theme and language features, etc.The second part is an overview of the translation process, including the reasons for material selection, preparation, translation process and post-translation  issues.The third part is to analyze and evaluate the selected translation text and propose corresponding solutions to the difficulties.
