《车轮上一家人》是 J.麦克唐纳德·奥克斯利改编的著作。作品讲述了处于乱世孤苦无依的四个孩子和一马、一狗、一大象的生活状态。他们为生活不懈努力，遇到了很多困境，但在许多善良人的帮助下，始终保持真诚、善良、勇敢，感恩的心，努力地生活。本人选取了第五章到第八章的材料，这几章分别为：了不起的剑客、动物们大显身手、纳拉惊逃、找回纳拉。

小论文将主要分为四部分，第一部分是引言，主要是对翻译作品的背景知识作介绍。第二部分是翻译的过程，表述如何进行翻译；第三部分主要阐述翻译过程中遇到的问题及解决的依据和方法；第四部分是结论，此部分是对此次翻译实践的总结与思考。

此次翻译实践，旨在扩大《车轮上一家人》这本著作的受众群，让更多的中国青少年了解这样一群孩子的生活状态以及其对生活积极乐观独立的态度。此外，也希望通过对原文的翻译，能够准确地传达原著的信息和作者的意愿。意义是希望在一定程度上能够促进孩子们养成互帮互助、勇敢真诚、乐观向上的意志品质，从而不断提升自己，积极面对生活，形成高尚的人生观和价值观。

INTRODUCTION

The book The Family on Wheels is adapted by J. MacDonald Oxley. The author tells about four helpless children with a horse, a dog and an elephant lived in a troubled time. They worked hard for life and had encountered many difficulties, but with the help of many good people, they always kept a sincere, kind, brave and grateful heart in order to strive to live on. The fifth to eighth chapters are selected to translate. They are respectively A Remarkable Fencer, The Animal Distinguish Themselves, The Stampeding of Nalla, and Nalla Recovered.

And the essay will be divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the knowledge of the works. The second part is the translation process, which aims to state clearly how to conduct the task. The third part mainly elaborates the problems encountered in the process of translation and the corresponding solutions. The fourth part is the conclusion. This part is the summary and reflection of this translation practice.

This translation practice aims to expand the audience of the book The Family on Wheels and allow more Chinese youth to understand the living conditions of such a group of children and their positive and optimistic attitude to life. In addition, it is   also hoped that the translation of the original text can accurately convey the original information and the author’s wishes. The significance of the translation is to develop the qualities of mutual help, bravery, sincerity and optimism, so as to constantly improve themselves, face life positively and form a noble values of life.
