内容简介

《开发全球市场——本成功准入的指南》一书的作者是博士和业务发展/合同管理执行官——雷蒙德·霍普金斯。如今,全球化、市场逐渐一体化和日新月异的高新技术或多或少波及和影响了大部分企业。

从本质上讲,这是一本对于那些想要成功开拓全球市场却无从下手的中小型企业而言全面的启蒙读本。本指南主要以全球市场为主,包括几个不同类型的部分,如全球市场发展分析、确定目标市场和寻找客户源、在全球范围内进行谈判、国际贸易的达成、影响国际市场增长的重要因素等。

本次翻译实践节选书中的第二部分第 3 章进行翻译,主要研究在全球市场内几大必不可少的营销策略。通过此次翻译实践,旨在扩大这本著作的受众群,让更多的有实力的中小型企业系统地、全面地了解经济全球化和知识经济时代,如何采用高效的方法和合适的渠道来开发海外市场。

除了原文的翻译外,本次翻译实践还包括一篇总结性论文。其目的在于采取更为有效的翻译策略和方法来实现商务文本双语言间的转换并加以检验。其中,主要分为四部分,第一部分是引言,介绍翻译作品的背景知识与作者;第二部分是简要介绍所选材料的翻译过程和所运用的理论指导;第三部分主要阐述翻译过程中遇到的问题及解决的依据和方法;第四部分是结论,此部分是对此次翻译实践的总结与思考。

MARKET ENTRY is written by Raymond A. Hopkins who is Doctor and Business Development/Contracts Management Executive. Nowadays, globalization, gradual integration of markets and burgeoning technologies impact nearly a majority of businesses.

In essence, this book is a comprehensive primer for aspiring and ambitious exporters who are prone to enter into their globally new markets.This  handbook mainly focuses on the multifarious discussion of global markets, consisting of several diverse parts, like introducing growth in global markets, identifying your target  market and finding customers, negotiating around the world, completing the transaction, etc.

In this translation practice, chapter 3 of partⅡin the selected material was chosen

to be translated, which mainly deals with a number of indispensable marketing strategies in global markets. The paper aims to extend audience reach in order to make more powerful small and medium-sized enterprises to get a thorough understanding of the economic globalization and the era of knowledge economy systematically and comprehensively, and accordingly adopt efficient methods and appropriate channels  to determine the best target market entry.

In addition to the translation of the original text, this dissertation also includes a summary essay. Its purpose is to employ more effective methods to realize and examine the bilingual conversion of business texts.There are four parts among the essay. The first part is the introduction of background knowledge and the author. The second part is the process of translation and theoretical guidances. The following part mainly elaborates the problems occurred during the process and solutions for solving them. The final part draws the conclusion on this translation practice.
