INTRODUCTION All Our Wrong Todays, a novel of the playwright Elan Mastai, is a science fiction, mainly used to help students learn more about the future, and enhance their scientific fiction imagination. It also inspires curiosity about the unique charm of exotic science fiction works, letting us experience the artistic connotation of foreign science fiction as well as generate special scientific reading response. This translation practice is an excerpt from chapter 10 to chapter 20. The protagonist, Tom, introduced the story of his parents. After losing himself for his mother's death, he entered his father's research institute, working with Penelope. There are many difficulties in the translation process. On the one hand, it is the writer's brainstorming and the strangeness of logic. On the other hand, art comes from life, but dramatizes life. Thus it is an area that cannot be touched by reality. Konstantin Tsiolkovsky said: Earth is the cradle of mankind, but man cannot live in the cradle forever. Through this practice of translation, readers are inspired to explore unknown things existing in science fiction, gain science fiction knowledge, perspectives and ways of thinking and appreciate the unique characters and stories that do not exist in other types of novels. The essay on translation practice includes four parts: 1. Introduction 2. The process of translation 3. Problems arising from translation and solutions 4. Conclusion |
